A 24-year-old woman from Oregon has been arrested and charged with murder after driving her car onto a crowded Las Vegas sidewalk, killing one person and injuring more than 30 others. Lakeisha Holloway could not tell police why she drove off the road, but authorities believe it was an intentional act having hopped the curb two or three times and then driving off. She was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A 3-year-old child in the car was not harmed. Five student-athletes and their coach from Delaware Valley University in Doylestown were among those hit by the car. The wrestlers were in Las Vegas for Monday's Desert Duals Tournament. Despite being flipped over the hood, none were seriously injured and were able to help others at the scene, but they did pull out of the tournament.

A 75-year-old man was found dead this afternoon at the Rodeway Inn at 1208 Walnut Street in Center City. The man was discovered around noon inside a fifth floor room lying face up on the floor with a cloth wrapped tightly around his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was identified as a prominent Philadelphia psychiatrist whose office is just a few blocks away. This may have been a case of auto-erotic asphyxiation. Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

An argument following the Philadelphia Eagles' 40-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals late Sunday night led to a shooting leaving one man dead and two wounded. Four men were watching the game in a garage converted into a TV room near E Mt. Airy Avenue and Gilbert Street in the city's Cedarbrook neighborhood. After the game, around midnight, a 51-year-old man pulled a gun and fired at the three other men on the couch. The 51-year-old man who lived at the house was shot in the chest and died at the scene. Another 51-year-old man was shot in the torso and rushed to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. A 58-year-old man was hit in the shoulder and thigh and taken to Einstein in stable condition. It is not clear why the shooter opened fire. The suspect remains at large.
