NFL Black Monday; Former Zion Pastor Sues; Off Duty Officer Injured in Fire

Today is known as Black Monday around the National Football League - the day many coaches lose their jobs after disappointing seasons. Of course the Eagles beat everyone to the punch, firing Chip Kelly last week and have already started interviewing candidates. Inside sources say Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie is very interested in talking to Saints coach Sean Payton if he becomes available.

A former pastor is suing Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. Adolphus Prince, the ousted pastor filed a lawsuit against the historic church at Broad and Venango seeking $50,000 and reinstatement. In the filing, Prince asks Common Pleas Court to overturn the July 2014 vote, saying that he "was pastor of Zion Baptist Church from January 2012 until he was illegally removed on July 12, 2014."

An off-duty police officer and one other person have been hospitalized after a Chinese restaurant caught fire in Philadelphia. The blaze broke out around 6 last night at No. 1 Kitchen in North Philly. Firefighters were met with heavy flames and smoke. An off-duty Philadelphia Police Officer was hurt while trying to help at the scene. The officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
