Nine Rowan University students have been charged in a fraud scheme that police say caused $35,000 in losses for a campus convenience store. One Rowan student who worked at the 7-Eleven store on Rowan Boulevard, 21-year-old Kwadwo Brefo-Boateng, credited his student debit card account, and accounts belonging to his friends, with fraudulent merchandise returns, according to Glassboro police. Students use the cards, called Boro Bucks, to make payments at vendors throughout Glassboro and the surrounding area.

Kickboxer, Michael "Danger" Castro was arrested again Wednesday for the murder of a 77-year-old man. 34 year old Castro, of Pemberton Township, Burlington County, had been arrested in 2013 for the 2012 shooting death of John Kingsbury in Mullica Township. Castro spent over a year in jail but was released after a judge threw out the indictment. Authorities contended that Castro, a Muay Thai kickboxer, had planned to rob Kingsbury's residence, which belonged to Castro's business partner, Glenn Kingsbury, the victim's son. Castro, authorities said, encountered the older man and put two bullets in John Kingsbury's head. Castro spent more than a year in jail after he was arrested in Florida, where he was working as a trainer.
