Tuesday was a violent night in Philadelphia. Police are investigating the deaths of six people in six separate incidents. These occurred in Southwest Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, Strawberry Mansion, Grays Ferry, and East Falls. One of those killed has been identified as 21-year-old Demetrius Pinckney. It happened on the 2300 block of Morris Street in Grays Ferry. He was found with severe injuries to the head and a green dirt bike nearby. Around 8 p.m. an argument between several men on dirt bikes and ATVs led to a chase and gunfire. It is being investigated as a homicide. Pinckney is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dion Waters. Waters is a Philadelphia-native. He has taken a leave of absence from the team and is returning home.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood announced a new program in the community aimed at fighting the heroin epidemic. Police headquarters will become a "safe haven" for those struggling with addiction. If you are struggling with addiction and voluntarily seek help, you can go to headquarters and just ask. "Come right in. Come right in the lobby. I got a captain in charge, Captain Tom Johnson." he says. If the person is not wanted for any crimes they'll be assigned to a counselor from Gaudenzia, a non-profit addiction treatment center. It would be the first of its kind in Pennsylvania. Even if you don't have insurance, funding will be provided. Right now it is limited to normal weekday business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last year there were 22 overdose deaths and 123 overdoses in Upper Darby.

Mayor Jim Kenney has announced that the 9th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 9th from 9 AM to 2 PM. Residents and organizations can sign up and volunteer to clean up their neighborhoods. Each year 1000's of Philadelphians got involved in cleaning the city's neighborhoods. You can register your community project now at www.phillyspringcleanup.com

Tonight,
Partly Cloudy, temperatures in the mid 60's this evening in Center City.
