Local church leaders and other people from around the city came together yesterday to start to make a change in the growing poverty rate in Philly. Members of the Opportunities Industrialization Center announced they will be holding a Poverty Summit which will be held on May 19th at the Community College of Philadelphia. The Summit will let people share their experiences with Poverty in the city, as well as opportunities for change.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is now trying to get a bill passed that would legalize the use of medical marijuana in PA. The bill would allow the state board to license growers, dispensers, and processors of marijuana in the state. Patients needing the drug would have to have a written certification from a doctor or nurse confirming their condition.

The search still continues for a masked man who broke into a house early Saturday morning in Chester County and forced the woman inside to give him her ATM card. The man also went through the house and stole the woman's jewelry and her car. Later on the masked man was caught on camera making a withdrawal at a local ATM with the stolen card, but his identity is still unknown at this point.

Flyers play at home tonight against the Red Wings.

Today, Cloudy, with a high of 63 in Center City.
