A man was shot by police today after he pulled out a weapon at a U.S. Capitol Checkpoint. The man was injured and taken to the hospital after being shot, a woman was also injured during the shooting. Police think it is the same man who disrupted the House Chamber last fall. The Capitol was on lockdown after the incident.

The American Airlines Pilot who was caught drinking before he was about to fly a plane from Detroit to Philadelphia has been ID'd and charged. 50-year-old John Francis Maguire has been charged with a misdemeanor for being over the legal blood alcohol limit for pilots which is 0.04. Maguire's Arraignment date is being scheduled at a later date.

The Secret Service has announced today that they will not allow people to carry a firearm into the GOP Convention in Cleveland this July. A petition was sent out to let people bring guns into the convention, and over 44,000 people had signed the petition. Ohio does have a law that allows it's citizens to carry firearms with them, but the Secret Service still has banned firearms to be brought into the convention.

Sixers play at home tomorrow against the Hornets.

Today, Partly Cloudy, with a high of 57 in Center City.
