Police in Bensalem, Bucks County, are searching for a driver who crashed their SUV into a home early on Sunday morning. It happened around 5:30 a.m. on the 2200 block of Monroe Avenue. The car was traveling northbound on Knights Road when it lost control, went through bushes and trees, crashed through a garden shed, before slamming into the house on the other side of the street. The homeowner's wife, Dolly, was sleeping in a hospital bed in the living room after returning home from the hospital earlier this week. The car just missed her. She was taken back to the hospital and treated for chest pains. The driver ran off on foot after crashing through the house. Police believe he was under the influence and speeding at the time of the crash.

Police are investigating a death in West Coshohocken. Authorities were called to a home on the 200 block of Morehead Avenue Sunday morning. Witnesses saw them removing the body of a young person. The house is rented by a group of college students. Neighbors say that the students had a small party on Saturday night, but nothing that was out of hand. No details have been released yet on what led up to and caused the young person's death. The young person has only been identified as a 22-year-old Cabrini College lacrosse player.

UPDATE: The student was visiting friends at the home Saturday night. He was found dead when everyone awoke on Sunday. Police attempted to perform CPR and even administered Naloxone to no avail. There was no evidence of foul play. Preliminary findings suggest drugs were involved.

Cabrini issued the following statement:

Cabrini has been informed of the death of one of our students, but we have no details at this time. We are saddened by the news, and our thoughts are with the student’s family as we focus on supporting our community through this loss.

Police have identified the woman who was found dead inside her car after accidentally driving into a creek in New Jersey. 60-year-old Cathy Shorter of Salem attended a family event at the Salem County Sportsmen's Club in Carneys Point Township on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, a groundskeeper at the club discovered the car floating in the creek about 100 feet from the boat ramp. Shorter left the event on Saturday night around 8 p.m. It is located in a heavy-wooded area and visibility was poor. Turning right leads to the main entrance, turning left leads to the creek and boat ramp. It is believed Shorter made the wrong turn. An autopsy will be performed on Monday.
