The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired the #2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft in a trade with the Cleveland Browns today. With that move, the Eagles are expected to draft a QB, either Cal's Jared Goff or North Dakota State's Carson Wentz. The Eagles gave up their 2016 1st round pick (#8 overall), 3rd round pick (#77 overall), and 4th round pick (#100 overall. Also, 2017's 1st round pick and 2018's 2nd round pick. They get a 2017 4th round pick. Howie Roseman released this statement, "By making the initial trade with Miami earlier this offseason and with this trade today with Cleveland, we feel that we have put ourselves in the best possible position to draft an impact player. We will now focus our energy on the next step." The last time the Eagles drafted a player this high was Donovan McNabb at #2 in 1999.

The U.S. Treasury Department has confirmed changes to the faces that appear on our currency. Previously, it was announced that a woman would replace Alexander Hamilton on the $10, however, that plan has changed. Instead, abolitionist Harriet Tubman will replace President Andrew Jackson on the face of the $20 bill. Hamilton will stay on the $10, but the back will feature several leaders of the suffragist movement: Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul. President Abraham Lincoln will remain on the $5 bill, but the reverse will depict historical scenes at the Lincoln Memorial including Opera Singer Marian Anderson, Martin Luther King Jr. and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Pennsylvania Attorney Kathleen Kane was in court today for a pre-trial hearing on her perjury and obstruction charges. Her lawyers told the Montgomery County judge their plans to appeal his decision on several pre-trial motions that were denied. Those included a request to recuse the entire Montgomery County bench due to conflicts of interest and another request to drop the charges because the grand jury was allegedly unlawful and unconstitutional. This could delay the trial which is set to start August 8th.
