Blue Route Road Rage Shooter Arrested; Chester County Woman Records Audio of Her Own Murder

Pennsylvania State Police have arrested a man for shooting at another driver during a road rage incident on the Blue Route last week. 50-year-old Anthony Richardson of Philadelphia was taken into custody at his Pennington Road home and brought to the State Police Wynnefield Heights barracks. The incident happened around 3 p.m. on May 5th on I-476 northbound approaching the Schuylkill Expressway in West Conshohocken. Richardson is accused of firing a shot from his Lincoln Town Car at a Mitsubishi Lancer while driving. The bullet went through the passenger door and lodged in the center console. The other driver was not hurt. Richardson has a history of road rage and brandishing a weapon. He does have a gun permit. Allegedly, the driver of the Lancer put on the brakes because Richardson was driving erratically and at an unsafe distance behind. Tips from the public led investigators in Richardson.

A Chester County woman managed to record audio of her own murder on her cellphone before her boyfriend shot and killed her last week. 40-year-old Wesley Webb was at home on Buckwalter Road in Schuylkill Township with her three children and boyfriend, 43-year-old Keith Smith, around 11:30 p.m. on May 2. The children were upstairs when Webb and Smith got into an argument. Webb started an audio recording on her phone before Smith shot her in the chest with a 12 gauge shotgun. Smith then turned the gun around and shot himself in the face. The children called 911 and Smith was rushed to the hospital. He remains hospitalized in stable condition but has been charged with first degree murder, third degree murder, possessing an instrument of crime, and endangering the welfare of children.

Cloudy, chance of a shower south, temperatures in the mid 60's this evening in Center City.
