A Rhode Island man has been found guilty of animal cruelty for transporting a horse later discovered to be shot over 100 times by paintballs. 65-year-old of Phillip Price of East Providence, RI, was convicted in New Holland, PA, of animal cruelty and dealing and handling animals without a license. The 20-year-old horse named Lily was discovered on the New Holland Sales Stables in March suffering from 130 close range paintball shots. It is not know how the horse was shot. Lily is now recovering at a facility in Kennett Square. Price was ordered to pay fines and $10,000 restitution for Lily's recovery.

A man was struck and killed just before noon by a SEPTA train near the Fern Rock Transportation Center. Rail service to the Lansdale-Doylestown, Warminster and West Trenton trains was suspended for a few hours as police investigated. The man's identity or why he was on the tracks has not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
