Wilmington Multiple Shooting, Christina Grimmie Funeral Plans, PA Budget Progress

According to police, multiple people were injured in a shooting on Tuesday night. Officials say that the multiple shooting took place at S. Van Buren Street and Read Street in Wilmington, Delaware. At this time, there is no word on the conditions of the victims.

Funeral services for "The Voice" star Christina Grimmie will be held later this week near her New Jersey hometown. The 22-year-old singer was shot to death last week as she signed autographs after a show in Orlando. Authorities say she apparently had no personal connection to the man who shot her and then fatally shot himself after being tackled by her brother. A viewing will be held Friday at Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford. A memorial service will be held there Friday night. Grimmie was a YouTube star who was widely known from her appearances on NBC's "The Voice" two years ago. She lived in Evesham Township, a small community about 20 miles from Philadelphia, before moving to Los Angeles in 2012.

Mid-way through June, positive signs abound as the Republican-controlled legislature and Democratic Governor Tom Wolf attempt to avoid the paralysis that gripped last year’s state budget process. Last week, the governor signed a historic liquor bill and Tuesday, the House sent the Senate a compromise bill that would create a hybrid pension plan for future employees that has both defined contribution and defined benefit elements.
