The Democratic National Convention next month in Philadelphia, will include demonstrators are planning to have a national fart-in. Being lead by an activist from Kensington, that says when it comes to advocating for the poor, hungry, and homeless, the party and presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton are full of "rhetorical flatulence." An anti-poverty march on opening day of the convention is also planned despite being denied a protest permit.

With the soda tax signed into law, Philadelphia is looking for high quality pre-K providers that can start taking students as soon as the tax takes effect. The city issued “RFQ’s,” Requests for Qualifications from two types of providers: One, nationally accredited or state designated “high quality” centers, who can apply to expand the number of seats they can offer, and two, small or start-up providers who want to get connected to resources, training andsupport to become high quality.

It’s an exercise move that can be very challenging and a special plank competition was held on Monday in Bucks County. On Monday, a group of senior citizens took the challenge and planked for a purpose. This planking challenge was raising money for the arthritis foundation and everybody was invited to join in, staff and family alike at the Wesley Enhanced Living Community in Doylsetown. All kind of planks were accepted – hands, toes, elbows and even on chairs.
