First Zika Virus Case in Chester County; Simmons To Be Sixers Pick; Holmesburg Prison Ready for DNC

The Chester County Health Department has been notified of the county's first confirmed case of Zika Virus by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This case involves a Chester County woman who is not pregnant. She had recently traveled to an area affected by mosquitoes carrying the Zika Virus. The woman was not hospitalized and has recovered, according to the Chester County Health Department.

A new day is dawning for the Philadelphia 76ers. Top draft prospect from LSU, Ben Simmons put on a Sixers jersey Tuesday morning for the first time for a workout in Philadelphia. The Sixers hosted a private workout for Simmons at their practice facility two days ahead of the NBA draft. They hold the No. 1 pick and reportedly informed Simmons they will be selecting him with it Thursday evening.

As Philadelphia prepares for the Democratic National Convention the city's shuttered Holmesburg Prison will be made available to hold arrested protesters if necessary. The facility is being readied on an if-needed basis for the convention, July 25 to 28. The portion of the prison to be used is the recently renovated gymnasium - currently available for overflow when the city's jails are over capacity - not the cell blocks where horror movies have been filmed.
