Paterno Knew According to Documents; Airport Strike During DNC; AC Casino Workers Picket

A man who claimed that he told Joe Paterno in 1976 that Jerry Sandusky had sexually abused him in a Pennsylvania State University locker room shower testified under oath that the iconic head coach brushed off his complaint, saying he had "a football season to worry about." Newly unsealed court records suggest that Paterno or members of his staff may have known, but did nothing, about Sandusky's sexual assaults decades before the assistant coach drew law enforcement scrutiny.

Workers at Philadelphia International Airport voted overwhelmingly to walk off the job during the Democratic National Convention in less than two weeks. The union that's trying to organize baggage handlers, wheelchair attendants and other workers says workers are seeking better scheduling, clarity on sick pay, a more predictable disciplinary system and the ability to unionize.

Striking Atlantic City casino workers are taking their protest to the New York City doorstep of the man who bought Trump Taj Mahal casino. Local 54 of the Unite-HERE union will join other protesters on Wednesday outside the 5th Avenue office of Carl Icahn. They also plan to target presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. The protesters say Icahn and Trump profited from the Taj Mahal even as it went through multiple bankruptcies.
