Whole Foods Struggles; 11-year-old Travels for Clinton; DNC Food-Rescue App

After being accused of price-gouging last year, Whole Foods still struggles to get back on its feet. Sales at some of the company's stores that have been opened for a year or more have declined for the fourth consecutive quarter, according to results released Wednesday afternoon. CEO, Walter Robb believes that the decline does not reflect the progress Whole Foods has made. He claims, "They are "continuing to make measurable progress on fundamentally evolving the business."

Sabbia Gale-Donnelly, an 11-year- old girl from New York, made her father drive to Philadelphia so she could witness Hillary Clinton accept the Democratic Party's nomination for president. She told ABC News that she admired Clinton and believed Clinton represented someone for her to look up to because "she never quits" and "devoted her entire life to making things better for women."

The Democratic National Convention will truly have a life-changing impact for Philadelphians battling homelessness and hunger. This week during DNC, a food-rescue app was launched, which will have a lasting influence on the city as it prevents food waste and helps those who face homelessness. This initiative has helped dozens of people get off the city's streets with the aim to escape homelessness. The app, created by Food Connect, helped food pantries get about 7,000 meals leftover from DNC events this week.
