A child fell off a wooden roller coaster at an amusement park in Westmoreland County in western Pennsylvania on Thursday afternoon. It happened around 12:20 p.m. at the Idlewild Park and Soak Zone in Ligonier, PA, about and hour southeast of Pittsburg. The boy was on the coaster with his brother when he fell. He was conscious when he was airlifted to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was riding the Rollo Coaster. It was built in 1938 and riders must be 3 feet tall and accompanied by an adult if under 4 feet. It is a classic wooden coaster with rolling up and down hills. The boy's age and condition is not known.

A woman was caught on video texting while driving on the Schuylkill Expressway and using her feet to steer. The video was sent to 6abc by a concerned motorist who shot it while riding in the passenger seat while her husband drove on I-76. They followed her for about 20 minutes as the behavior continued. She said they honked and yelled at her to stop, but the woman ignored their pleas. They did write down her license plate and call police. Watch the video from 6abc:

A second teen has been charged in the murder of a Cobbs Creek teen following a basketball game last month. 18-year-old Kywayne Hill turned himself into police yesterday. He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, criminal conspiracy and related offenses. 15-year-old Tyhir Barnes was shot and killed while walking home from a community basketball league on July 11. A 16-year-old and a 14-year-old were also shot. 16-year-old Joshua Richardson has also been arrested for the murder.

Tonight,
Partly Cloudy, excessive heat warning continues, temperatures in the low 90's/upper 80's this evening in Center City.
