The latest track on Hurricane Matthew has it hooking out to sea this weekend instead of heading up the East Coast to our area. Right now it is still a Category 4 hurricane and it is approaching the Bahamas. It will continue north-northwest and affect Florida at the beginning of the weekend before heading towards the Carolinas by Sunday night. It will have weakened to a Category 2 at this point. The predictions on Wednesday morning say that Matthew will turn east and head out to sea. This will mean no impact to our area from this storm. This is still days away and the track could shift back so stay tuned.

Another area middle school student has been arrested for posting 'scary clown' threats on social media. A 12-year-old Bensalem girl threatened attacks on Shafer and Snyder middle schools in an Instagram post that read "BENSALEM CLOWN we are coming Shafer and Snyder Tick Tock." with a knife, needle, and gun emoji. The student was charged with terroristic threats and harassment. This is the fifth student this week tracked down by authorities after posting clown threats to social media. A 13-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy in Washington Township, NJ were arrested on Monday. A 13-year-old boy from Mays Landing, NJ was arrested yesterday. On Sunday, a 13-year-old Philadelphia girl was arrested.

Vandals left broken glass all over the streets in the city's Fairmount section early this morning. Police say that 26 cars had their windows and mirrors smashed. Residents spent the morning cleaning broken glass out of their vehicles. Police on patrol first noticed the damage around 5 a.m. Authorities will be looking at surveillence footage from the neighborhood to determine when the vandalism happened and if the can catch the vandal or vandals in the act. It appears that nothing was taken, just broken glass.

Weather
This afternoon, Sunny, temperatures in the upper 60's in Center City
