Today was Juror Appreciation Day in the Philadelphia Courts and hundreds reporting for duty on Monday morning to Room 101 of the Criminal Justice Center had a few surprises. Villanova head basketball coach Jay Wright and the Phillie Phanatic both 'reported' for duty as well. Wright talked to the jurors thanking them for their service and how important it was to the community and our democracy. The Phanatic, well, he did his thing, entertaining everyone as he bumbled through the process. Coffee and donuts were on hand and it was announced that those amenities would return for all jurors in the future.

In response to scary clown incidents and threats across the country, Target is pulling certain clown masks from its stores and website. Those incidents has ranged from unfounded online threats like those in our area the past few weeks to actual robberies by suspects in masks in other parts of the country. Target decided to remove clown masks from it's shelves and online store just two weeks before Halloween.

A SUV jumped the curb and crashed through the front doors and into the lobby of an Acme Market in Delaware County this afternoon. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on 101 Byers Drive in Concord Township. The vehicle drove up on to the curb and squeezed through the first set of doors before crashing into a wall in the breezeway of the supermarket. No one was injured expect for a few pumpkins. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Tonight
Partly Cloudy, temperatures in the low 70's this evening in Center City
