Police are currently investigating a shooting that happened in North Philadelphia that left one woman dead and one man wounded. The shooting happened in the early hours of Thursday morning on the 2600 block of Welsh Road. Officials say that two people approached the victims, that's when one of the suspects opened fire. Police arrived on the scene to find a woman lying dead between two cars with a gunshot wound to the head. A man who was with the two victims during the shooting drove the male victim to the hospital. The 35-year-old man was shot in the face and the arm, and is now listed in stable condition. Police believe the shooting may have involved a drug deal, and they also believe the woman was the intended target in the shooting.

Montgomery County officials reported that their 911 service is currently experiencing issues for users calling in on a landline. Officials released a statement stating that the cable was cut, which caused a "degrading service" for incoming 911 calls to the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center. People using a landline received a busy signal instead of being connected to an operator. County officials say that if people receive a dial tone to try calling with a cell phone. They also stated they are not sure how long it will take for the issue to be fixed.

Police are now investigating a smash and grab burglary that took place at a Macy's story in Northeast Philadelphia. The robbery happened after 2:30 pm at Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. Police say that three men wearing hoodies and gloves smashed a counter in the store and grabbed an undisclosed amount of watches. After robbing the store, the suspects drove away in a silver Mercedes Benz. A sliver Mercedes Benz was also used in a robbery that took place earlier this week at the Boyd's store. It is not known if the two robberies are connected. Police are currently searching for the suspects.
