Republican Vice President candidate Mike Pence's campaign plane slid off of the runway at New York's LaGuardia Airport Thursday night during a rainstorm. Pence's plane was landing during the rainstorm, making a rough approach to the runway. Once hitting the concrete runway, the pilots hit the brakes to slow the plane down. The plane slid off the track and stopped in a patch of grass to the side. Once the plane came to a stop, Pence and the other passengers evacuated through the back of the plane. The plane only damaged two tracks of concrete on the runway, and luckily no one was injured.

Former Penn State assistant football coach Mike McQueary has been awarded $7.3 million for damages related to the Jerry Sandusky case back in 2012. The jurors deliberated for about four hours on Thursday before reaching their final decision. McQueary was awarded the money after it was found the University had defamed the former coach, after it became public that his testimony helped convict Sandusky with child molestation. He was seeking more than $4 million in lost wages and damages. McQueary stated that he has not been able to find any work because of the public criticism over the case.

Pennsylvania has now released a set of guidelines to help educate voters on their rights while at their polling area for the upcoming election day. Some of the guidelines are: Every voter has the right to assistance, whether you need a language translation, or help reading the ballot, voters can choose someone to assist them as long as it's not their employer, union representative, or the Judge of Elections. Only first time voters in PA will need to show their ID to vote. A voter whose name is not in the poll book, is still allowed to vote there. And lastly, if half or more of the voting booths are not working, you are allowed to use emergency paper ballots. For more information on voting in Pennsylvania go to: http://www.votespa.com
