Montco 911 Running, Pictures/Update of Macy's Robbery, FBI To Re-Open Clinton Investigation

After being cut and down for a day, the Montgomery County's 911 landline is back up and running for the customers it was affecting. Officials say that Verizon crews were out all night and morning, trying to repair the cut landline in Wayne. The cable was accidentally cut on Thursday at around 2 pm, and officials informed the public to call in by cell phone if they received a busy signal on their landline. Full service was restored to the 911 landline at 5:18 am Friday morning.

Police have now released pictures and video surveillance from the smash and grab robbery that took place at a Macy's in Northeast Philadelphia on Thursday. The images and videos show three men wearing hoodies and masks smashing a jewelry case and stealing 14 watches, with a total cost around $16,000. Another image that has been released is of the men's getaway car, which is a silver Mercedes-Benz with the license plate number HVA-3241. Police believe the same car was used to rob Boyd's store in Center City on Tuesday. An eyewitness said the license plate number at Boyd's was HVA-3721, but police believe the witness got the number wrong and that the car was used in both robberies.

FBI Director James Comey released a statement on Friday stating that they will be re-opening the previously closed investigation into democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's emails during her time as secretary of state. Comey stated on Friday "In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation." Clinton's email scandal has been her biggest issue for her campaign so far. She made no comment on the FBI's statement on Friday at a rally in Iowa, but so far the email scandal has not hurt her campaign in the final weeks before the election.

UPDATE: The new e-mails discovered were uncovered as part of the sexting investigation of Anthony Weiner, soon to be ex-husband of top Clinton-aide Huma Abedin. Clinton responded tonight saying, "the American people deserve to get the full and complete facts immediately." She urged the FBI to "explain this issue in question, whatever it is, without any delay." "Let’s get it out."

Weather

Tonight, Clear and Cool, with a low of 41 degrees in Center City.
