2 Shot, 1 Dead in Levittown Pizza Place; Penn Updates Racist Text Investigation

Officials are investigating after two people were shot inside of a pizza shop in Levittown, Bucks County last night. It happened inside of Porfirio's II Pizza, Steaks, and Hoagies on the 900 block of Veteran Highway. Middletown Township Police say that a customer and two employees were inside around 10 pm when two armed robbers entered. The customer was pistol whipped by one of the suspects before he was able to take out his own weapon and shoot both robbers. One suspect died at the scene. The second suspect was shot in the neck and shoulder and taken to the hospital in serious condition. Police say the customer does have a permit to carry. They are also looking into any surveillance footage from the restaurant.

The University of Pennsylvania has provided an update in its investigation into racists messages sent last week to black freshmen at the school. In a tweet sent out on Tuesday night, Penn officials explained that there was no compromise of the Penn directory or its data systems. They say that one of the suspects being investigated in Oklahoma for this incident had been offered admission to Penn last May. Like all incoming freshmen, he was granted access to the private Facebook group for the Class of 2020. The student would then have been able to gather the contact information of other students and add them to the GroupMe thread without their knowledge or permission. Penn said they are continuing to work with the FBI to prevent something like this in the future. That student has already been suspended by the University of Oklahoma.
