The Philadelphia Parking Authority will continue to offer their annual free holiday parking throughout the city at meters. The free parking will be available on Saturdays starting after 11 am. The Philadelphia Parking Authority stated they want visitors to take advantage of the free parking, while they can take in the sights, sounds, and food Philly has to offer. All parking violations as well as safety violations and time limits will still be enforced by the PPA on residential blocks. The offer will be good until the end of the year.

A University of Michigan computer security expert said he might have possibly found discrepancies with election results in three key states, one of them, including Pennsylvania. He has stated that audits should take place in these states to make sure the results of the election are accurate. Officials have stated that it is already being done in PA, as it always is after every election. They say that the audit will show if there are any discrepancies between official vote tallies, and paper audit tapes. Law does not officials require a recount of votes if there are discrepancies, but campaign officials can request a recount and the deadline to do so is Monday.

Philadelphia Police have now arrested the mother and father of the 2-year-old boy who was accidentally shot by his 4-year-old cousin on Thursday in North Philadelphia. 34-year-old Rachel Santiago, and 34-year-old Omar Laboy-Vega have been put into police custody and have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child as well as a firearms violation. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to his upper chest, as well as gunshot wound to his right ring finger. The boy was then rushed to Temple University Hospital where he remains in critical condition. Police say that two handguns were recovered from the parent's residence.
