According to the Daily News:

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, returning this week from a three-week rib injury absence, said he plans to heed teammates and coaches who have pleaded with him to be more conscious of self-preservation.

"Sliding. Getting down," Vick said, interrupting a question about how he might avoid missing valuable time with injuries. "I've made my mind up. There's going to be times when I can't get the extra yards. I gotta get down. I get too caught up in the game sometimes, but that leads to me being sidelined, not being accountable for the team on Sunday."

Vick called it "a situation I had total control of, and I still do it, each and every time I step outside of the pocket."

Vick said he will slide "the best way I can." Vick has said previously he doesn't really know how to slide.

Earlier, Eagles coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters:

* Everyone on the roster is practicing today. That includes Vick, Jeremy Maclin, Nnamdi Asomugha, King Dunlap and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, all of whom had been hampered by injuries. Reid said he wanted to see how things go with Rodgers=Cromartie, who has a high ankle sprain. The others seem good to go.

* Reid said Vick will start Sunday against Miami, barring a setback in the new few days of practice. He said Vick felt good Tuesday after throwing the ball in Monday's light practice.
