A Philadelphia man who has spent 10 years in jail for being committed of a crime he did not commit was released on Wednesday. 29-year-old Dante Rollins was released from jail on Wednesday after he was wrongfully convicted in 2006 of an attempted murder of a 6-year-old boy. Rollins' mother fought for her son while he was in jail and eventually The Pennsylvania Innocence Project got involved. The decision to overturn the jail sentence came from evidence including video surveillance and receipts from the night of the shooting, proving Rollins was not present at the murder. The evidence had not been presented in the court when Rollins was convicted.

Two men have been convicted by a Philadelphia jury on Wednesday for a triple murder. After about and hour and a half of deliberating the jury found both 35-year-old Ibrahim Muhammad, and 35-year-old Nalik Scott guilty of murder in the killing of a Philly store owner, Porfirio Nunez, his wife Carmen, and sister-in-law Lina Sanchez. The murder took place at Lorena's Grocery located on 50th and Parrish Streets in Southwest Philly back on September of 2011. Police say that the men never took anything after murdering the victims. Officials were able to find a break in the case when they found surveillance footage that linked the men to two other hold-ups.

With the Presidential Inauguration just one month away, Vice President Joe Biden may already be looking into his next line of work, and it could mean coming to Philadelphia. The political magazine Politco reported that Biden may be eyeing to "set up shop" at The University of Pennsylvania after leaving office next month. The University has not made any official comment about the possibility. Biden has been part of UPenn for a while, his late son Beau Biden graduated in 1991 from UPenn. Biden also made many stops to the University over the past couple of years, giving the commencement speech in 2013, as well as launching his cancer initiative "Cancer Moonshot" at the Abramson Cancer Center.
