The Temple Owls will take on Wake Forest Tuesday in the Military Bowl in Annapolis at 3:30. Temple hasn't played a game since December 3rd when they beat Navy 34-10 to win the American Athletic Conference Championship. Both teams are also using the game as almost a distraction from news and conflicts with their teams. Only three days after winning the AAC Temple Head Coach Matt Rhule resigned and went off to coach at Baylor, leaving nine-year assistant coach Ed Foley in charge of the Owls for the Bowl game. Senior Linebacker Avery Williams said: "One of our goals was the championship, and another was to win an 11th game and become the greatest Temple team ever, everything that's been going on, we really don't care. It's all about us right now." Wake Forest has had a scandal going on in their school as well after one of their broadcasters, Tommy Elrod, leaked or tried to leak game plan information to at least three opponents. Wake Forest Head Coach Dave Clawson stated: "We knew something was going on since a month ago and we've focused on the game and things we can control, I think our players have done a great job of that. Nothing we can do about it. It happened, it's in our past, we addressed it and we're moving forward. I think for us it's great that there is another game."

Villanova Men's Basketball is now going on it's fourth straight week as No. 1 in the Associated Press's Top 25 college basketball teams in the nation. The Wildcats, who are now 12-0, received 56 first place votes from a national media panel of 65 people to remain in the number one spot over No. 2 UCLA (13-0) who received three first place votes. Also in the rankings No. 3 Kansas (11-1) and No. 4 Baylor (12-0) who received the remaining six first place votes. Villanova puts their No. 1 ranking on the line as they take on No. 10 Creighton this Saturday. The Wildcats open Big East play on Wednesday vs Depaul.

Sixers Center Joel Embiid gave it all he could during a matchup against Demarcus Cousins and the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. Embiid put up 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, all in 29 minutes of the game on Monday, despite their 100-102 loss. Cousins had 30 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, and clutch 3-pointer that helped the Kings secure a victory against the Sixers. When asked after the game on what he thought of Embiid, Cousins' said "I like that kid a lot. I don't give a lot of people props, but I like that kid a lot. I think he got a great chance of being the best big in this league...after I retire."
