A suspect in the New Year's Day hit-and-run of a bicyclist in Bucks County has turned himself into the Bensalem Township Police Department. James Hasher surrendered to police on Wednesday morning. It happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. 56-year-old Lenny Golin was riding his bike along Tennis Avenue in Bensalem, between Bristol Pike and State Road, when he was struck. Another motorist found Golin suffering from severe injuries and a shattered leg. He remains in the hospital. Police obtained surveillance footage from the area and released images of a red truck. Tips from the public helped them locate the truck and identify Hasher. He is charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, failure to render aid and careless driving.

46 people have suffered minor injuries after two SEPTA trollies collided in West Philadelphia this afternoon. It happened just after 1 p.m. along Lancaster Ave near 38th Street in the Powelton Village section. One westbound Rt. 10 trolley rear ended another trolley. Service between 36th and Market and 38th and Lancaster has been suspended. No one is seriously injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A lockdown at a Cherry Hill, NJ, school has been lifted after authorities gave the all clear this afternoon around 2:30 p.m. Henry C. Beck Middle School received an anonymous threat by phone on Wednesday morning prompting school officials to place the building on lockdown around 11 a.m. No one was permitted to enter or leave and classroom doors and windows were secured. Children were taken to the gym. Parents were notified with this letter. Authorities determined that the threat was not credible and the building was safe. Students were dismissed at the normal 3 p.m. time. Authorities are investigating the source of the threat.
