A passing motorist shot a suspect who carjacked a SEPTA vehicle this morning in West Philadelphia. It all happened just before 11 am at 63rd and Woodbine in the Overbrook neighborhood. The 32-year-old suspect was speeding in his Dodge Charger and crashed into a car in the intersection. That car then hit two others. The suspect then got out of car and first tried to carjack the motorist but was fought off. The motorist and other witnesses then saw him pull the driver out of a SEPTA utility vehicle. The suspect only drove a short distance before crashing the SEPTA vehicle and ran back towards the intersection. The motorist and other bystanders struggled with the suspect to get him down. During the struggle, the motorist's gun fell out. The suspect reached for it, but the owner grabbed it and shot the suspect in the leg. The shooter does have a license to carry. The suspect was taken to Lankenau Medical Center in stable condition. The SEPTA driver was not hurt. No word on any charges.

Trump brought attorney Sheri Dillon of Morgan Lewis to the podium to announce that the Trump Organization will continue to pursue deals in the U.S. but that Donald will give up control of the company to his sons and isolate himself from the business. Trump also announced that a replacement for the Affordable Care Act would come "essentially simultaneously" with the repeal of Obamacare.
