Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a teenager was shot and killed in West Philadelphia on Sunday. The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Sean D Jones, an immigrant from Jamaica who came over this past August. The shooting took place on the 200 block of North 52nd Street at around 1 pm. Police arrived on the scene to find the boy shot in the head. He was then quickly rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was later pronounced dead. So far no arrests have been made, and police are still searching for a suspect.

Over 100 members of local labor and community groups joined Democratic politicians on Sunday outside of Temple University Hospital for a rally to preserve the Affordable Care Act. Pennsylvania Democratic Senators Bob Casey and Bob Brady were present at the rally both stating that if Republicans can not find a replacement plan for the Affordable Care Act, it could leave nearly 28 million Americans without insurance. Protesters also gathered outside of Pennsylvanian Republican Congressman Pat Meehan's offices in Blue Bell and Springfield to protest. Mayor Jim Kenney stated that he urges people to have their voice heard.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a taxi driver was shot 13 times during a confrontation with a customer early Sunday Morning. Police say that the incident happened on the 800 block of Brooklyn Street at around 2 am on Sunday. The Philadelphia Taxicab Company stated that the driver got into an altercation with a rider who had been giving him a difficult time, which led to the driver refusing to give him a ride. Officers arrived on the scene to find the 56-year-old victim unresponsive on the ground. He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition. Police say they are now searching for a black vehicle that was spotted leaving the scene of the shooting.
