Super Bowl 51 was held on Sunday night which had the New England Patriots going head to head with the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons came out very strong in the first quarter, and held up a strong defense against the Patriots, putting incredible pressure on QB Tom Brady. The Falcons kept the momentum going throughout the second and third quarter, scoring 21 points in the second quarter and 7 points in the third quarter. It looked like the Falcons had the game all wrapped up having a 25 point lead over the Patriots. But moving into the fourth quarter, Tom Brady and the Patriots scored 19 points to tie up the game 28-28 forcing the first overtime in Super Bowl history. The Patriots won the coin toss and were able to score in the first 4 downs in overtime sealing a 34-28 victory over the Falcons. This their fifth Super Bowl win.

The Sixers will be taking on the Pistons Monday night at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Sixers will be short handed on Monday night as they will be missing Joel Embiid with a bone bruise in his left knee. The Sixers will also be missing Jahil Okafor who has a sore right knee and Robert Covington who has a bruised right hand. The Sixers are coming off of a 102-125 loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday night. The Pistons are all healthy but have been very inconsistent this season, the last meeting with the Sixers, the Pistons lost 79-97, making it the fifth win for the Sixers in the season.

The Associated Press released their Men's College Basketball rankings
