A Syrian immigrant family that was detained at Philadelphia International Airport last Saturday and then put back on a plane hours later amid President Trump's travel ban has arrived back in the United States. The six members of the Assali joined their relatives in Allentown, PA this morning after landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Lehigh Valley-area Republican Congressman Charlie Dent says, "They were not refugees, they were in fact immigrant visa holders, and their green cards were soon to be processed. They are now green card holders, by the way. They are legal permanent residents." It took each of them 13 years, thousands of dollars, and lots of paperwork to go through the proper legal process to emigrate to the US. "I just want to say thank you to all the American people that supported us." See video of the family after their arrival below.

Lower Merion police have confirmed that several Kobe Bryant memorabilia items were stolen from a display case outside the Byrant Gymnasium at Lower Merion High School over the weekend. Sean Hughes, the school's principal, said the thieves made off with Bryant's framed high school replica jersey, state championship trophy and net, programs from the state and district title games, a proclamation from the Pennsylvania State House honoring the 1996 team, as well as several pairs of signed Nike sneakers. Kobe Bryant, now retired, is a 1996 graduate of the high school. He was drafted right into the NBA by the Charlotte Hornets and played 20 seasons with the LA Lakers winning 5 championships. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the school. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lower Merion police at 610-649-1000. Watch surveillance footage of the theft below.

Explosives were found in a Haverford Towship home during preparations for an estate sale on Monday morning. Officials went to the house around 10:30 a.m. Monday along the 200 block of Laurel Ln. Around 10 sticks of dynamite were found a freezer. Officials will have to defrost the explosives before they can neutralize any threat. There were no evacuations or injuries, but neighboring homes may be evacuated. Authorities say that this kind of procedure is normal when discoveries of this nature are made during estate sales. The situation is ongoing.

UPDATE: The sticks of dynamite were removed from the home and taken to a disposal site. A search of the home turned up no additional explosives.
