A woman was killed in a house fire that broke out in the Frankford section of Philadelphia on Monday. The fire broke out on the 5200 block of Akron Street at around 4:30 pm on Monday. Officials say that 4 people were inside of the home when the fire broke out. A couple and their child were able to escape, but a grandmother who had been bedridden for several years was unable to make it out of the house. Investigators say that the fire broke out on the second floor of the home, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A man is now under arrest after he approached a SEPTA Transit Officer and forcibly kissed her. The incident took place at the 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby on Monday night. SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel stated that the man grabbed the officer while she was on patrol Monday night and forcibly kissed her. The officer was able to get away from the suspect and arrest him. The suspect is now facing numerous charges including assault. The officer is reported to be ok, despite the incident.

A man has now been charged with the death of a local music teacher that was killed in a car accident over the weekend. 59-year-old Anthony Russino has been charged with the death of 56-year-old music teacher Caroline Morgan. The crash happened on South 31st Street at around 3 pm on Saturday. Russino side-swiped four parked cars, Morgan was reportedly getting out of her car when Russino struck her. According to witnesses Russino was apparently visibly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. He then tried to remove his license plate and flee the scene, but was apprehended by police just a few blocks away from the crash. Russino has now charged with Homicide by Vehicle and DUI.
