Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a twelve-year-old girl was involved in an armed robbery that took place in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. The robbery took place on the 7900 block of Leon street at around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Police say the suspect, who is believed to be a 15-year-old boy, approached the girl and robbed her of her cell phone. Luckily the girl was not injured in the robbery, but police are still searching for the suspect.

Philadelphia Police are now searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck and injured a police officer on Thursday night in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. The incident happened on 20th and Spencer Streets at around 10:30 pm. Police say that an officer was struck by a vehicle, and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The officer was taken to Einstein Medical Center and is said to be in stable condition with minor injuries. Police describe the car as a Silver 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, with possible PA tags JLA-9786.

A Montgomery County tree-trimming company is now under investigation after they have been accused of hiring dozens of undocumented immigrants, and hiding it from the federal government. Three supervisors at Asplundh Tree Experts in Willow Grove are now facing many charges due to hiring illegal immigrants. Regional Manager Larry Gauger, and two supervisors Juan Rodriguez and Jude Solis are all being charged. On the company's website it says that they are partnered with the Department of Homeland Security to verify all new employees, but the three apparently did not follow through with their statement. Homeland Security warned the officials that nearly 100 workers were in the country illegally. Asplundh then fired the workers, while some others resigned, but it was reported that many of them were rehired using fake names and ID's. The three men face conspiracy document and immigration fraud charges, and could face up to ten years in a federal penitentiary.
