A Philadelphia doctor has pled guilty to peddling prescription drugs from a now closed Philadelphia clinic that specialized in helping those addicted to drugs. 78-year-old Dr. Alan Summers pled guilty in federal court on Wednesday. Officials say that Summers and two other doctors that worked at the clinic sold around $5 million worth of controlled substance prescriptions to both drug dealers and addicts. The doctors accepted cash for the drugs and officials reported that they performed little to no treatment for patients. Nearly 1,000 patients visited the clinic each month. Summers has been charged with conspiracy, drug distribution, money laundering and health care fraud.

Delaware County Officials are now investigating after a body was found under an Upper Darby bridge. The body was found under the Marshall Road Bridge at around 7 pm on Thursday. Police say that the body was found by a group of children who were playing along Cobbs Creek which runs under the Marshall Road Bridge. There is no word on the cause of death.

Police are now investigating a hit and run incident that took place in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The incident happened on the 2000 block of E. Clearfield Street at around 7:30 pm. Police say that the 43-year-old victim was struck by a driver in a silver 4-door vehicle. Once police arrived on the scene, the man was taken to Hahnemann Hospital in critical condition. Police say that the suspect fled the scene heading eastbound on Clearfield Street. Authorities later found the vehicle but it was unoccupied. The search for the suspect is currently underway.
