Police in Israel have arrested a 19-year-old Jewish man in connection with a series of bomb threats targeting Jewish Community Centers and other institutions last month. Israeli authorities worked with the FBI to help identify and track down the teenage suspect. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld described the suspect as a hacker who used "advanced camouflage technologies" to cover his tracks such as his phone number and IP address. His identity has not been released other than he holds dual American-Israeli citizenship. Threats were made against centers in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Locally, threats were sent to centers in Wynnewood, PA, Cherry Hilly, NJ, and Wilmington, DE, all of which prompted evacuations. Authorities say that this suspect is responsible for the majority of recent threats. They have yet to determine a motive.

SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel announced this afternoon that arrests have been made in connection to a brawl at the Race-Vine subway station brawl last week. 10 minors were taken into custody. Seven were arrested at Ben Franklin High School, one was arrested at the Ben Franklin Learning Center, and another was arrested following a foot chase in North Philadelphia. The tenth suspect was arrested during the press conference. An eleventh suspect recently turned 18 and his warrant is waiting to be approved by the DA's office as an adult. All suspects are male. Those arrested will be charged with aggravated assault and robbery. The incident happened on last Thursday, March 16th around 3:30 pm. It started as a snowball fight and moved into the Broad Street subway station at Race/Vine where it escalated into a melee. Several victims were kicked and punched while on the ground. It was caught on cell phone video (see below). Nestel says SEPTA officers will start riding every train after school is dismissed to prevent these brawls.

The defense team for former Penn State president Graham Spanier rested their case today without calling any witnesses or presenting any evidence. Spanier is on trial for his handling of a 2001 complaint against Jerry Sandusky's behavior with an underage boy in a locker room shower. He is accused of not notifying the appropriate authorities and conspiring to cover it up. Defense attorney Sam Silver said, "They made judgment calls... They did not engage in crimes. They did not enter in a conspiracy." He said that Spanier along with former athletic director Tim Curley and former vice president Gary Schultz “took the matter seriously...They didn't just laugh this off. And they did take action.” "They took a gamble," Prosecutor Laura Ditka told jurors. "They weren't playing with dice. They were playing with kids." Curley and Shultz pled guilty last week. The case is in the jury's hands now.
