Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a teen was injured in a shooting in West Philadelphia. The shooting took place near 50th and Haverford Avenue just before 4 pm. Police arrived on the scene to find the teenager with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was then rushed to The Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia. Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects responsible.

The owner of a laundromat in North Philadelphia opened fire on an armed robber over the weekend. The incident took place on the 2900 block of North 5th Street at around 4 pm on Sunday. Police say that the suspect attempted to rob the owner's store when the owner pulled out a gun and began to chase the suspect out of the store onto the street. He then began to discharge the gun. The 40-year-old suspect was shot two times in the chest, a 52-year-old bystander was also shot twice in the hand. Both of them were rushed to Temple University Hospital where the bystander is in stable condition and the suspect is in critical condition. Police are still questioning the owner, and are not sure if they are going to file any charges.

The attorney for District Attorney Seth Williams has filed a motion to withdraw from the case. Williams' attorney Michael Diamondstein stated that Williams cannot afford his services and has stated that since Williams is not stepping down from office, it would be a conflict of interest to represent an active District Attorney. The judge has denied the motion, keeping Diamondstien on the case. Williams is facing charges of bribery and extortion, and has pled not guilty for his charges.
