Officials at Little Flower High School in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia are now investigating after racist messages were drawn on the walls of the school's bathroom. Officials found a message that stated "whites rule America" on a bathroom stall, as well as another message that stated "I love Hitler" and also had a swastika. School officials stated that they are currently investigating the incident and say that the act is unacceptable and a senseless act of hate speech.

An 8-year-old boy was seriously injured after a tombstone fell on top of him on Tuesday. The boy's mother, Dawn Johnston, stated that her son Elijah Johnston was walking through the graveyard on Tuesday afternoon when the tombstone fell on top of him. She says the boy and his friends were taking a shortcut home and went through the graveyard. The friends of the boy tried their best to get the tombstone off of him. Police arrived a little later and it took six officers to get the tombstone off the boy. The boy was immediately rushed to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

The father of the 2-year-old who was wounded in a shooting on Thanksgiving Day in North Philadelphia has now pleaded guilty to child endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm. 35-year-old Omar Laboy-Vega has been sentenced to 5-10 years in a state prison on Tuesday. On November 24th, 2016, the 2-year-old and his 4-year-old cousin were in the backyard playing with the gun when it fired, shooting him in the chest and finger. The boy spent several weeks in the hospital, but is now said to be doing well. The boy's mother, 34-year-old Rachel Santiago, pleaded guilty last month to child endangerment and was sentenced to 6-12 months in jail.
