Arrest in Walmart Road Rage Shooting; DE 1-year-old Hit-and-Run; Darby Woman Shot/Killed

Police in Bucks County have arrested a man wanted for a road rage incident late Thursday afternoon at a Walmart in Quakertown. 32-year-old Brandon Grosso was arrested late last night at a motel in Milford Township. He is accused of firing a shot gun at and shooting out the back window of an occupied car in the parking lot of the Walmart. The car was occupied by Barb Lavin and her 22-year-old son Sean. No one was injured. The Lavins say that he was driving aggressively and tried to pass them, but when he couldn't he fired at them from inside his car. Grosso has been involved in previous similar incidents. He is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and weapons charges. He is being held on $150,000 bail.

A driver has been arrested after striking a 1-year-old girl in a hit-and-run this morning in New Castle County, Delaware. It happened around 10:30 a.m. at Roosevelt and Delaware Avenues in Newport. The driver in a silver Mazda hit child while leaving a home and fled the scene. Police were able to locate the driver on the 6900 block of Lancaster Pike in Hockessin and place them in custody just before noon without incident. The driver has not been identified. The child was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition. The incident remains under investigation.

UPDATE: The driver has been identified as 20-year-old Elijah Meredith. He is charged with leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury, failure to report a collision resulting in injury, driving while suspended and failure to have insurance in possession. The girl has been identified as Leah Perdue. She is at A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in stable condition. She suffered a gash to the head and has a fracture to the back of her skull.

A woman was found shot to death in a Darby Borough home this morning. Police responded to a report of gunshots on the 100 block of Spring Road around 7:30 a.m. Friday. The woman in her 20's was found dead inside. Police are questioning a person of interest but no arrests have been made. Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Crystalin Thomas. 31-year-old Edward Moses Jr. has been arrested and charged with murder. Moses Jr. is the father of Thomas' child.
