Philadelphia Police are now investigating a shooting that left one man dead in the Strawberry Mansion Section of Philadelphia. The incident took place at 24th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue at around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Police arrived on the scene to find the 31-year-old victim with four gun shot wounds to the chest and six gun shot wounds to the back. The victim was later taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects responsible.

City officials have begun a major clean up process to an iconic Philadelphia statue. Officials are beginning a thorough clean up of the William Penn Statue that sits on top of City Hall. The statue weighs in at around 53,000 pounds and receives a clean up every ten years to clear it of pollution and corrosion. Officials say that the clean up process should be complete by the end of June.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a suspect brutally beat a woman unconscious outside of Aria Health Frankford on Wednesday night. Police say that the 29-year-old woman was beat unconscious, but the suspect didn't stop there. Police stated that the suspect then emptied a trash bag and tried to stuff the unconscious women inside. Employees of the hospital saw the man beating the woman and started to yell at him and ended up scaring him away. The woman was then taken to the hospital where she is listed in critical condition. Police are still investigating the motive and say that an argument had started between the man and woman. Police are viewing surveillance footage to try and identify the woman's attacker.
