A shelter-in-place order has been issued for the Warrington / Chalfont area of Bucks County. Residents were notified by reverse 911 call after a prisoner escaped during transport near Lower State and Bristol Roads around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. You are asked to stay in your homes and lock the doors as police pursue the suspect. Parts of Doylestown are also nearby.

UPDATE: Shelter in place has been lifted. Escaped prisoner has been identified as 25-year-old Daniel Selby Jr. He was last seen around 4:30 a.m. at a 7-Eleven in Edison Village in Doylestown Township. Central Bucks School Disreict cancelled classes for the day.

UPDATE: 6/5 11:30 a.m. Search has been called off.

Authorities cornered and tranquilized a bear in Feasterville, Bucks County late this afternoon. It fell asleep up in a tree near Street Road and Bustleton Avenue. Authorities say it is a male, around 2 years old, approximately 100 lbs. They say it is the same bear seen in Doylestown earlier in the week.

A New Jersey convenience store named Dawa will change its name after a lawsuit from Pennsylvania-based Wawa. Court filings do not say what the Paterson-based store will change its name to. "Dawa" in Korean means "come in" or "welcome." Wawa filed the copyright infringement suit earlier this year saying it has a duty to protect its brand name. Wawa has over 700 stores in 6 states.
