The search for an escaped prisoner was called off around 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Authorities believe he left the area. Bucks County authorities identified the prisoner who escaped a transport van on Sunday night. Police are looking for 25-year-old Daniel Selby Jr. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, brown hair, with a scruffy beard. He was wearing an orange shirt, jeans, and work boots. He was also still in hand cuffs and a transport belt which he covered with a white blanket. Selby was last seen around 5:30 a.m. Monday near the 7-Eleven at Edison Road and Rt. 611 in Edison Village in Doylestown Township. They believe he got into a car and took off. Central Bucks School District cancelled classes for the day as police searched for the suspect. It all started last night near Bristol and Lower State Eoads in Warrington. Selby was being transported by Bucks County Sheriff deputies and told them he was feeling sick. When they pulled over and opened the door, he had already removed his leg shackles and ran out into the woods. Authorities ordered a shelter-in-place for residents for most of the night. It was lifted this morning. Selby was in custody for failing to appear in court on an unspecified offense.

UPDATE: Police have arrested the escapee's father, 65-year-old Daniel Selby Sr. of Fountainville, Bucks County, for helping his son escape from Bucks County sheriffs. He was charged on Monday evening with hindering apprehension, aiding consummation of crime, and obstructing administration of law. Selby Jr. was originally in custody and being transported for failure to appear on a drug charge before he escaped. He likely will now face additional charges of felony escaping and assault on an officer.

The man charged with sucker punching another man suffering from cerebral palsy outside of a 7-Eleven in West Chester has been arrested. 29-year-old Barry Baker was taken into custody around 8 a.m. in Uwchlan Township according to Chester County Sheriff Carolyn "Bunny" Welsh. Baker had previously been identified, arrested, and charged after mocking and assaulting the unsuspecting disabled man early in the morning on May 10th. Baker made bail and then disappeared. New arrest warrants were issued for a parole violation and failure to appear on a unrelated domestic issue. A $5,000 reward was being offered for his arrest. He's been sent to Chester County Prison awaiting preliminary hearing.

Two Delaware teen girls who were found guilty in connection to the death of a classmate following a fight in a school bathroom were sentenced today. The 17-year-old girl convicted of criminally negligent homicide was sentenced to 6 months in a secure residential treatment program. The 17-year-old girl convicted of conspiracy was sentenced to 18 months probation. They are both barred from social media. According to the autopsy, 16-year-old Amy Joyner-Francis died of sudden cardiac arrest because of a rare undiagnosed heart condition which was aggravated when she was attacked. It happened in April 2016 at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington. The incident was caught on cell phone video.
