An employee at a supermarket in Northeast Pennsylvania killed three co-workers before turning a gun on himself early Thursday morning in a workplace murder-suicide in Wyoming County. It happened around 1 a.m. at the Weis Market in Eaton Township, which is about 25 miles northwest of Scranton. The shooter has been identified as 24-year-old Randy Stair of Dallas. His shift started at 11 p.m. Wednesday when the store closed to the public. He took out two pistol-grip shotguns from a duffel bag and began shooting. 63-year-old Terry Sterling of South Montrose, 26-year-old Victoria Brong of Factoryville, and 47-year-old Brian Hayes of Springville were killed. Stair then shot himself in the head. One witness was able to escape. State Troopers have not released a possible motive for the shooting.

A customer turned 'Good Samaritan' stopped a would be armed robber at a Wawa in South Jersey early Wednesday morning. The heroics were captured on store surveillance video. It happened just before 2 a.m. inside the Wawa on the 600 block of Cross Keys Road in Sicklerville. The suspect, 26-year-old Alexander Ray of Maple Shade, entered the store with a gun and told employees to get on the ground. As Ray walked towards the register, a customer named Daryl lunged at the suspect and tackled him. Ray held onto the gun and pistol whipped Daryl in an effort to get away. The scuffle between the two spilled outside until police arrived. Officers found the gun was not loaded. Both the suspect and Daryl were taken to the hospital. Ray is being charged with robbery, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. See the video below.

A Philadelphia man is facing charges after his 1-year-old step-son died yesterday after being sexually assaulted. Police went to the 1700 block of Conestoga Street in Southwest Philadelphia around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. They found the 1-year-old child upstairs unresponsive. The infant was taken to Children's Hospital where he died about a half hour later. The physician saw multiple bruises and signs of sexual abuse. The boy's 24-year-old stepfather was taken to the Special Victims Unit. He has been charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and related offenses.
