Philadelphia Police have charged the SUV driver that struck and killed a mother standing on the sidewalk with her two children in Port Richmond on Saturday night. 39-year-old Ryan McHugh of Philadelphia is charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault while driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter and causing an accident involving death. It happened around 9 p.m. near Aramingo Avenue and Tioga Street where she was fatally struck around 9 p.m. 28-year-old Rosa Lydia Rojas and her two children, 11-year-old daughter Leani and 9-year-old son Jadiyn, were eating food when McHugh jumped the curb. Rojas pushed her daughter away, but the vehicle struck both mother and son. She was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where she died. Jadiyn is at Christopher's Hospital in critical, but stable condition. McHugh is being held on $500,000 bail.

Philadelphia Police have identified one of the suspects wanted in the ride-by shooting of a man and his toddler son in Kensington last month. Authorities are looking for Revoire Harris (see photo below). It happened on May 19th on the 3300 block of Malta Street. Harris and another suspect rode by on bicycles and opened fire on the 25-year-old father and son who were sitting out front of their home. The man was hit on the knee while the boy was struck 4 times. They both survived. The second suspect has not yet been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact East Detective Division at 215-686-3243.

The defense in the sexual assault trial of Bill Cosby rested its case this morning. Lawyers only called one witness who gave six minutes of testimony. Detective Richard Schaffer also testified for the prosecution. This time he took the stand and told the court that accuser Andrea Constand had visited Cosby at an out-of-state casino and that police have known of Cosby's vision problems for over a decade. The comedian himself did not take the stand in his own defense. His wife of 53 years, Camille, accompanied him to trial today for the first time this morning. Closing arguments are expected Monday afternoon and the jury may be charged with the case later on today.

Weather
This afternoon, Sunny skies, near record heat, high 94 in center city.
