The jury in the sexual assault trial of Bill Cosby broke for the night on Tuesday around 9 p.m. after Day 2 of deliberations. The panel has been weighing the case for a total of 16 hours since Monday. Today they asked to review several pieces of evidence and read back testimony from the trial including portions of Cosby's 2005 civil deposition and the testimony of the police officer who took Andrea Constand's initial report over a decade ago.

Outside the courthouse, Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt read a statement from longtime Temple University official Marguerite Jackson. The defense wanted to call her as a witness but the judge said her testimony would be hearsay. Jackson said Constand had a plan to falsely accuse someone of assault so she could sue and get money. The jury has been sequestered and unaware of what is taking place on the courtroom stairs.

The jury will reconvene on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. and continue. The 79-year-old Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison on each of the three counts he his charged. Tonight, as he left the Norristown courthouse he gave a Fat Albert “Hey, Hey, Hey!” to his supporters gathered outside.
