Philadelphia Police have now found human remains in an empty lot in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia. The human remains were found by contractors at around 4 pm on the 1700 block of Atlantic Street. The remains were found inside of a milk crate on the site as well as inside of a briefcase. Police have stated that the construction crews found bones earlier in June, but thought they were just animal remains. Examiners believe that the level of decomposition on the bones is around two years.

Work at nearly 20 construction sites throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding area has been stopped due to a strike. The International Union Of Operating Engineers Local 542 has now gone on strike after a contract dispute continues after it expired on May 1st. The Union operates the cranes and elevators for many construction sites around the area including the new Comcast Tower and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia expansion. This is the first strike for the union in 25 years.

Police are now searching for two women who are wanted for committing a series violent robberies in Upper Darby. The two suspects robbed two women on the unit block of Kent Street, the suspects pointed the gun at the two women and when one of the women resisted, one of the suspects hit her in the arm. The victim then dropped her purse which contained $700. The suspects also took another $200 as well as a cell phone. The suspects also committed the same crime, only to two separate taxi drivers, where they stole a total of $300. Police believe the two are also using a getaway driver, driving a dark-grey sedan, possibly a Hyundai. Police are now searching for the suspects.
