Philadelphia Police have arrested a man who went for a swim without any clothes in the Schuylkill River on Wednesday. Police were called to the scene at the river near Martin Luther King Drive and Black Road in Fairmount Park at around 8 pm. Police officers in boats tried to reach the swimmer, but he refused to get our of the water. It took two boats of officers and a helicopter around an hour to get the swimmer out of the water. The man is now in police custody.

Philadelphia Police are now searching for a man who threatened a security officer while stealing clothes from a clothing store in Center City. The suspect was stopped by store security after trying to steal clothes from Uniqlo clothing store which is located on the 1600 block of West Chestnut Street. Police say that the man threatened to stab the security officer after he stopped him, the suspect was able to get away with the clothing. Police are continuing their search for the suspect.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after they believe someone tried to set city vehicles on fire. On early Wednesday morning, the members of the 12th Police District and local fire company, located on 65th Street and Woodland Avenue, noticed a smell of gasoline. They then noticed that many of the city survey vehicles in the underground garage were soaked in gasoline. They also found a t-shirt that was also soaked in gasoline. Officials were able to get the garage completely cleaned, but are hoping that local surveillance footage can help police identify the suspect.
