Man Wanted for Urinating on Synagogue; 84yo Woman Tied w/ Belts; NE Philly Target Shooter Arrested

Philadelphia Police are asking the public's help in identifying a person wanted for urinating by the front doors of a synagogue in Northeast Philadelphia. The incident was captured on surveillance camera. It happened at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the Congregation Beth Solomon at 198 Tomlinson Road in the city's Somerton section. The man approached the front doors, made an obscene gesture to the camera, and then urinated on the wall and sidewalk in front of the doors to the synagogue. He then got into the passenger seat of a white four-door sedan and drove away. He is described as a male, about 20 years old, thin build, light complexion, short beard, black hair, wearing a white shirt, and jeans. UPDATE: 8/15 9pm The man caught on video urinating on a synagogue has turned himself into police. His name has not been released.

Police are investigating a home invasion in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia on Monday afternoon. It happened just before 2 p.m. on the 700 block of South Front Street. The burglar entered through the rear of the building. He tied up the 84-year-old woman who lived at the home with belts. Police say that he stole money before fleeing. The woman was not hurt. He is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, thin build, wearing dark pants. If you have any information you are encouraged to contact police.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting outside a Northeast Philadelphia Target store on Friday afternoon. 30-year-old Tyrell Wright has been charged with attempted murder and related offenses. It happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday outside the store on the 7400 block of Bustleton Avenue. An argument among a group of men in the front of the store turned into a fight and escalated when Wright opened fire. A 29-year-old man was shot in the back. He stumbled back into the store and collapsed. At this point most of the shoppers and employees had fled to the back of the store and waited until SWAT cleared the premises to be evacuated. The victim is currently in stable condition.
