The Philadelphia Parking Authority has now announced that the meterUp pay-for-parking mobile app is now returning to Philadelphia. The PPA announced on Wednesday that they have approved a new vendor for the app, ParkMobile LLC. The PPA says that ParkMobile has multiple years of experience with parking apps, having been vendors to cities including New York, Denver, Dallas, DC and Miami. The PPA previously had a pay-for-parking app until it was suspended after the previous vendor shut down unexpectedly due to financial issues. The app is expected to be up and running for Philadelphia commuters by mid Fall.

A teenager was struck by a car and injured after she was reportedly FaceTiming while crossing the street in Abington Township, Montgomery County. The incident took place at around 2:45 pm on Wednesday on the 900 block of Highland Avenue. Police say that the 14-year-old victim was FaceTiming on her phone as she walked into the street, directly into the path of a passing car. The girl was rushed to Abington Memorial Hospital. She is still listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

An injured passenger from the SEPTA train crash at the 69th Street station on Tuesday has now filed a lawsuit. 26-year-old Derrell Robbson now has two law firms that will be representing him, they say that their client woke up after the crash on the ground and gasping for air. A total of 33 people were injured in the crash, after a train collided with an empty, stationary train at 69th Street station. The two law firms believe that many more injured passengers will be seeking their representation in the future. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the NTSB.
