Philadelphia Named 3rd Worst City For Men by Men's Health Magazine

Men's Health Magazine recently published their annual statistical analysis of the nation's top 100 cities and ranked them in order of "Best" to "Worst" for Men. Well, our City of Brotherly Love did not shake out too well on the list, ending up #98 out of 100, meaning 3rd Worst!

Philadelphia only rose above Birmingham, AL (#99) and Memphis, TN (#100). The Best cities for men were Burlington, VT (1), Madison, WI (2), and Plano, TX (3).

Men's Health magazine explains that they use over 35 different categories to evaluate each city including aspects such as exercise, employment, air quality, diabetes and depression, CDC, FBI, etc.

I would have to disagree that Philly is that bad of a place to live in being a male. I mean, we don't have the best eating habits and we don't have tropical beaches, but there are definitely more than a handful of cities on the list that we should be above.

Take a look at the full list at Men's Health: http://www.menshealth.com/best-life/best-worst-cities-men-2012
