Philadelphia Police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man was shot while sitting in his car in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Officers responded to the call at around 5 pm to find a man in his late 20s in a car with multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police are continuing to search for the suspect or suspects responsible.

The backup quarterback for Albright College has now been cut from the team after kneeling during the national anthem. Sophomore Gyree Durante was cut from the team after he took a knee this past Saturday at their game. Albright has stated that the school has cut Durante because he "violated a team decision to show unity by kneeling during the coin toss, but standing for the national anthem." The school stated that the players understood the consequences if they did not follow the agreement. Durante stated that he was "taught you fight for what you believe in and you don't bow to anyone."

The National Transportation Safety Board has now stated that the engineer involved in the deadly Amtrak crash that took place in Chester last year had marijuana in his system during the crash. The crash took place in Chester last year when an Amtrak train headed for New York struck a backhoe that was not supposed to be on the track. The report that came out on Wednesday stated the engineer had marijuana in his system. It was also reported that the backhoe operator, who was killed, had cocaine in his system during the time of the crash. The supervisor, who was also killed, had oxycodone in his system.
